Yeah! finally the day has came. The day that will decide whether I am good enough to study medicine in Ireland or only in Malaysia. Okay..so I am pleased to share my experience during my interview. Lets start with my preparation. Frankly, I'm not well prepared coz I have some problems during my weekend. So, actually I only done my preparation last night. I wrote my script... ha ha. That's was funny I think. To memorize your text. It should be spontaneous! Well..my opinion, prepare your text before the interview is really advantageous. Because, you will know and organize what you're going to talk. For example, I found myself have difficulties in preparing the answer for question " Can you tell me about yourself ?" Definitely I said, I took for about a week to find the answer for this question. Should I tell about family? My siblings? Isn't it look so immature? How I gonna start answering that question? Finally..I tried to see the video on the appropriate answers for that question and.....TADAAA! It worked! The Irish people are interested in my intro.

Get ready to rock the day!! |
So, I managed to wake early tis morning. Yeah, performed my Subuh prayer, took my sandwich.. YUMMY!! and then, did my last preparation. My interview started at 9 a.m. and I have to leave early to settle things before going into the interview room. Thanks for my deary house-mate, for lending her car. It was 8.20 a.m. when I got there and the Irish people did not came yet. I was so nervous. Scared if I will perform badly. OH NO!! I realized that I have not prepared about which university would be my priority. Is it NUIG or UCC? Kudos to my friends who were the one that also be the first candidate to be interviewed. they shared a lot with me.
Now..let us go through my interview. So, I was placed in room 3. There were 2 panels. A man and a woman. Both are professor and doctor. I was in the waiting room at first. Waiting them to arrive. And when the time came, I felt relieved. They welcomed me to the room. They were and are totally nice and warmth people. Not like the English people. As far as i know, English people looks arrogant but the Irish are really nice. Okay..as expected.." Can you tell us about yourself ? Where you from ? your family ?.." Duhh!! Family?? I thought I did not have to include it! So..I just came out with anything that crossed my mind. It just a little, and then I proceed with my background, my participation, my abilities and sort of that. Noted here that I told them that I want to become an engineer at first! So, I was attacked ( not really actually ) regarding my ambition. Why I changed it? My reasons... Obviously, I have included the best reason for it as I have taken risk to put engineering in my life! That gave me credit I thought, coz it is common to hear people said they took medicine because they love to help people. They want to serve the people. You know..the common reasons are not what they want to hear. Make a different statement! So, the interview gone well. They asked lot of questions and opinions. And finally, as usual, "Do you have any question(s) to ask? " Duhh again!! Frankly, I was not prepared for that question! I forgot that it is the most important part during interview! So, I just came out with " I'm sorry, but I've read before that Grave disease is common in Ireland. So, can you tell me further about the disease? " ha ha. She answered.. and I was trapped after that!! " What is common disease in Malaysia? " and..the interview was continued with several more questions related to disease(S).
